Erlend Furholt Moen is from Songdalen county outside of Kristiansand in Norway. He started playing the trumpet at a very early age and the local marching band was the obvious place to start. He later started playing jazz and particularly big bands. Conducting became an interest from a very early stage, and Erlend has led both marching bands, big bands and smaller ensembles for several years.
He moved to Trondheim and took a bachelors degree in music sience at NTNU, and later a masters degree in composition at the same university. There he, among others, worked under the supervision and teachings of Ståle Kleiberg and Henning Sommero. Erlend moved to Oslo in 2012 and began a study in conducting at the norwegian academy of music. He still lives in Oslo and works as a freelance composer, arranger, conductor and trumpeteer. He has, during this time, also worked with opera, ska-music, choir and other classical ensembles and allways accepts a new musical challenge.
Det er for tiden ikke planlagt noen hendelser fremover grunnet pandemien!
